Timothy Barber has written a very nice piece about Alex’s new book 500 Years 100 Watches in the new issue of the Esquire Big Watch Book. A book that he describes as sumptuous.

The Nine Watch Books and Watch Fan Needs To Read

Alex Doak recently wrote an article for the Journal section of Mr Porter on watch books and he was generous enough to include Alex’s first book,  The Watch, in his round up of the nine watch books that watch fans should read.

Also included in Alex Doak’s list is the new book by Rebecca Struthers, Retro Watches by Josh Sims, Longitude by Dava Sobel, A Man and His Watch by Matt Hranek, Time Tamed by Nicholas Foulkes and The Wristwatch Handbook by Ryan Schmidt.

Alex was asked by watch journalist Robin Swithinbank to opine about ultra thin watches for an article that Robin was writing for The Telegraph. Among the other contributors to the article are Rebecca Struthers and Benjamin Comar.
